Volunteer roles

Volunteers are vital in supporting survivors and raising awareness.

We want to hear from people who may interested in the following volunteer roles:

Outreach Support: Assisting survivors with practical needs like attending appointments, finding housing, or accessing benefits.

Mackenzie Friend Support: Accompanying survivors to court hearings, offering emotional support, and helping them understand legal processes, ensuring they feel empowered and informed.

Awareness Raising: Supporting campaigns and attending events to help ensure we have an NDADA presence across the community.

Social Media Volunteers: Creating, posting, and monitoring content to raise awareness, promote the charity’s services, and engage the online community effectively.

Domestic Abuse Community Champions: Acting as local advocates, sharing resources, identifying individuals who may need support, and promoting the charity’s work within the community.

DIY and Decorating: Suitable for those who may be granted volunteer days through their employers or are interested in low-commitment time-sensitive volunteering.

Fundraising: Organising events or applying for grants to secure funding for the charity’s work.

Administrative Assistance: Supporting the day-to-day operations, such as managing records or coordinating volunteer schedules.

Group Facilitation: Helping run support groups, courses or activities to build confidence and skills.
