Holding hands with NDADA: Veronica Henry

Holding hands with Veronica Henry
Veronica Henry is an award-winning romantic novelist, TV script writer and journalist

North Devon’s Veronica Henry is an award-winning novelist, TV scriptwriter and journalist. She explains why she is honoured to be holding hands with NDADA

The presence of NDADA in our beautiful county is something to be incredibly proud of. Of course, the ideal situation would be for it not to be necessary, but in the meantime the sterling work of so many people to provide a refuge, support and advice to those suffering is invaluable.

Abuse can touch anyone, anytime, anywhere, and so awareness of NDADA and the help it can give is paramount. Everyone deserves to feel safe; everyone deserves to feel worthwhile; everyone deserves a future they feel in control of, and NDADA can set those who have lost their way onto a firmer path. I have huge admiration for their work and am proud to support them in all their initiatives. There are many ways to do this: by donating, volunteering or supporting the glorious Re:Love dress agency in Barnstaple or Re:Store in Bideford. NDADA is there for all of us.

Veronica was a scriptwriter, working for productions such as The Archers, Heartbeat and Holby City, before turning to fiction. In 2014 she won the RNA Novel of the Year Award for A Night On The Orient Express and her much-loved Beach Hut series has been praised for its uplifting, feel-good storylines.

The Holding Hands with NDADA series shines a light on why NDADA’s work is so vital, and why people choose to support us.
